What is CrossFit?
- CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that blends weightlifting, gymnastics, and monostructural movements (commonly referred to as “cardio”, i.e. running, rowing, cycling).
- Workouts are different every day and modified to help each athlete achieve his or her goals. CrossFit workouts can be adapted for people at any age and level of fitness.
- CrossFit aims to prepare the athlete for anything. An athlete is as fit as their competency in each of the following components, or general physical skills:
- Cardiorespiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.
