Dr. Heidi Henry earned her PhD in Counselor Education from Sam Houston State University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Louisiana State University. She has been a professional counselor for 10 years, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Pennsylvania and Texas, and has many diverse counseling experiences. She has worked with middle and high school students providing individual, group, and crisis counseling. She has also worked with nonprofits and in private practice working with adults experiencing a range of problems, including work dissatisfaction, body issues, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression.

Dr. Heidi Henry is also an experienced counseling supervisor and educator. She is currently an Assistant Professor, a published scholar, and experienced presenter. Her research pursuits include presenting and publishing information that address mental health and educational disparities among diverse and historically marginalized populations, as well as research to advance counselor education pedagogy.
