Course Description:
English 4A is designed to help seniors strengthen their reading and writing skills through the study of classic literature and targeted language practice. In this course, students will explore works such as Beowulf, Macbeth, and other Shakespearean texts, along with a variety of shorter poems, to build comprehension and analysis skills. Students will also focus on foundational grammar concepts and other essential writing conventions. This class is structured to provide support, build confidence, and help students stay on track toward graduation while developing skills they can use in everyday communication and beyond.

A major component of this course is a comprehensive career research project, where students explore potential career paths, research job requirements, and connect their learning to real-world goals. This course is designed to be practical and supportive, helping students build confidence in their communication skills and take meaningful steps toward their future.
