SB 1566 requires school boards to participate in Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes (EISO) training every two years. EISO training provides guidance on HB 3 which requires school boards to adopt student outcome goals in the following key areas:
Early Childhood Literacy
Early Childhood Mathematics
College, Career, and Military Readiness
Special Education
Emergent Bilingual
The board works collaboratively with the superintendent to adopt specific and measurable student outcome goals with annual targets for each appropriate student group under the closing the gaps domain.
