Mrs. Branum

Welcome to Mrs. Branum's 7th Grade English and Reading class website!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Branum and I am currently in my 21st year of teaching. I spent my first 15 years in another district, and I am excited to be starting my sixth year at Central Junior High! I have previously taught 6th and 7th grade math, 7th and 8th grade Reading, 7th grade English, as well as coached girls' volleyball, basketball, and track.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Education from Texas A&M University in 1999 and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction as a Reading Specialist from the University of Texas in Arlington.

I have been married for 17 years to my husband, Jason, and we have two beautiful daughters, Michaela and Madison, and three crazy dogs!

Supplies Needed for the 2019-20 School Year (GT English Students only)

• Box of tissues
• 1.5 inch binder
• One package of dividers (with pockets)
• #2 Pencils
• Red Pen
• Paper
• Markers or colored pencils
• Highlighters
• Hand sanitizer

**The binder with dividers will stay in the classroom and will be for use in this class only. All other supplies will be kept with the student and brought to class daily. The tissues and hand sanitizer will be turned in to the teacher for classroom use.

Supplies Needed for the 2019-20 School Year (Reading Students only)

• Box of tissues
• One-subject spiral OR composition notebook
• #2 Pencils
• Paper
• Highlighters
• Markers or colored pencils
• Bottle of Elmer's Glue

**The spiral notebook will stay in the classroom and will be for use in this class only. All other supplies will be kept with the student and brought to class daily. The tissues and glue will be turned in to the teacher for classroom use.

Additional Supplies:

• Clorox Wipes
• Bottle of glue
• Pack of Notebook Paper
