Upcoming events:

Oct. 16-30 Uniform fittings (in class):  Students can expect to be fitted for a formal uniform by the end of October. Girl's uniform is a black dress and boys wear a formal, 4-piece, tux. Uniforms will be taken home and should be HUNG in a clean space. Uniforms will be returned at the end of March 2026. Please provide black dress shoes for your student by the time our winter concert arrives. 

Oct. 21 CHOIR VERTICAL RAISE Fundraiser Kick-off (in class):  Students, please start collecting 20 emails and phone numbers to contact regarding our fund-raiser! Create a google doc through your school classlink titled "Choir Fundraiser" and begin typing in your contacts. If we reach our $10,000 fund-raising goal, we can get shirts for our Disney-themed spring show!

Nov. 20th Varsity Pyramid CONCERT: 5:30 PM (Thurs), Bell HS Auditorium- Varsity students will be transported to Bell HS at 1:30 pm during the school day on Thursday Nov. 20th for rehearsals. Parents are invited to attend the concert at 5:30 pm.

Dec. 5th Chamber Chorus at Bedford Tree Lighting - Chamber chorus will perform a 20 minute program for Bedford's Tree Lighting at the Old Bedford School. Time is TBD

DEC. 12th WINTER CONCERT (All Students), 6:30 (Fri) Bell HS Auditorium- All Choir students perform for 3 A-grades at our formal winter concert. Attire for this concert will be formal black dresses and tux rentals provided by BJH Choir.  Parents, please provide black dress shoes for your student. More details to come! 

Optional Events: 

Oct. 25 ALL-REGION CHOIR AUDITIONS (7th/8th Grade only)  & Oct. 29 9/10 CHOIR AUDITIONS (9th Grade only)- interested students should reach out to Mrs. Lewis and prepare to learn on their own as this material is not covered during class-time. Registration for these contests is now closed (10/10)!

Nov. 20th- Virtual Auditions for Winter Concert Showcase Due - 4 or 5 students will be selected as showcase soloists for the Winter Concert Dec. 12th. Email video submissions (google drive or youtube link) to janelllewis@hebisd.edu by midnight, Nov. 20th. *Songs must be 4 minutes or less, performed exactly as planned for the stage, be school-appropriate, not be one of the Winter Concert choir selections we are working on in classes, and be Christmas/winter themed*
