Grading Policies

GRADING:

· Tests/Exams/Projects 50%

· Class work/Homework/Quizzes 50%

GRADE CODES

.01 = incomplete assignment

.02 = “NO work = NO credit”

.03 = Zero/Low-Grade Makeup

.04 = additional notes below

.05 = retest grade

X = exempt from the assignment, not calculated

Z = absent work, calculated as zero

-- (Blank) = grade has not been entered yet

INSTRUCTIONAL SAFETY NET

Tests – content exams CAN be brought up to a 70, if a student fails a test. Students must complete the test correction form to retest. Retests are available before or after school (contact me if you need an exception to these times).
Progress Reports – Every two weeks a progress report will be provided to each student and can be brought back (SIGNED by caregiver) for a “free” 100.
Zero / Low grade Make-up – during the 5th week of a six weeks grading period each student may make-up one assignment (lowest grade).
