Please be advised of the following changes to King County COVID-19 testing sites:
Due to the decline in demand for PCR COVID-19 testing, three COVID-19 testing sites in King County beginning February 2023:
Federal Way Testing Site (CLOSED)
650 SW Campus Dr
Last day of operation was February 15. This site is operated by Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences.
Tukwila Testing Site (CLOSED)
3455 S 148th St
Last day of operation was March 3. This site is operated by Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences.
Renton Testing Site (CLOSED)
805 SW 10th St
Last day of operation was March 15. This site is operated by Atlas Genomics.
PCR COVID-19 tests in King County
Ensuring that free COVID-19 testing is easily accessible remains a top priority, especially in communities that are at highest risk. Several free and low-cost PCR testing options remain available, including in south King County. A full list of PCR test sites and resources are listed on the King County testing webpage, including testing options for those who are uninsured: kingcounty.gov/covidtesting
Free COVID-19 home tests
King County Public Health is reaching out to public health clinics, libraries and community centers to provide COVID-19 home tests for the public. The following locations will have tests to distribute beginning the week of February 20:

Auburn Public Health Clinic (901 Auburn Way N)
Washington households can also still order up to 5 free home COVID-19 test kits per month through SayYesCovidHomeTest.org or by calling 1-800-525-0127 for ordering assistance.
Different brands of at home tests have different guidelines on expiration. See the FDA at home test site for guidance.
The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has partnered with pharmacies nationwide to offer on-site testing and vaccination. To access on-site testing and vaccination, refer to CVS, Walgreens and local pharmacy websites. There are also examples of locations with testing and vaccination available by region in King County below.

Vaccine Need-To-Know's:
Updated (bivalent) boosters became available on:
September 2, 2022, for people aged 12 years and older
October 12, 2022, for people aged 5–11 years
December 9, 2022, for children aged 6 months–4 years who completed the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine primary series
Updated (bivalent) Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine also became available on December 9, 2022 for children aged 6 months–4 years to complete the primary series.
CDC recommends everyone stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines for their age group:
Getting a COVID-19 vaccine after you have recovered from COVID-19 infection provides added protection against COVID-19.
People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised have different recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines.
COVID-19 vaccine and booster recommendations may be updated as CDC continues to monitor the latest COVID-19 data.
