Calling all 6th Graders! Need some inspiration? Check out these titles: Great Stone Face Book Award 2025-2026 

The Great Stone Face Book Award is an annual honor given to an author whose book receives the most votes from 4th to 6th graders in New Hampshire. Each April, children vote for their favorite from a list of 20 recently-published titles selected by the Great Stone Face (GSF) Committee. This award aims to promote reading enjoyment, raise awareness of contemporary writing, and allow children to celebrate their favorite authors. For more details, the mission statement and selection criteria are available (link coming), and those interested in joining the GSF Committee can email one of the co-chairs listed below. The mission is to encourage children to appreciate recreational reading and nurture a lifelong love of reading.

Calling all 7th and 8th Graders! Need some inspiration? Check out these titles: Isinglass Teen Read Award 2026       

The Isinglass Teen Read Award was established in 2001 through a partnership between the Barrington Public Library and Barrington Middle School. Its primary objectives are to promote reading among teens, encourage their involvement in creating a reading list, and honor authors whose works resonate with youth.  The award is now open to all New Hampshire students in grades 7-8 with voting taking place annually in April.
