Our room is number 108 and we are KF 2.
Things your child will need for kindergarten:
a backpack - large enough to contain lunch, water bottle, spare clothes, and other materials to be sent home. Your child should be able to carry their backpack on their own and be able to put it on/take it off without adult assistance. Newsletters etc. will be electronic so please make sure we have your current email address. Your child will be provided with a "Zippy" communication bag for artwork, home reading materials, etc. to go home in. Zippies should stay in their backpacks at all times as they will be used frequently.
Lunch and water bottle - All snacks must be nut free in order to keep all students safe at our school. Snacks should be healthy and plentiful enough to keep children energized for the entire day.
Outdoor Clothes - The Kindergarten Program consists of large chunks of outdoor time every day and in all weather and we would like the children to be comfortable.
Indoor and Outdoor shoes labelled with your child's name. *Velcro/slip-ons are best as we cannot tie laces for over 20 children at a time. Shoes should be practical to run, jump, and play actively all day.
A large ziplock bag of extra clothes labelled with your child's name - play is messy and spills etc. happen!
All traditional school supplies (pencils, crayons, glue etc) will be provided. Personal pencil cases are not used in kindergarten. If you would like to donate school supplies for shared classroom use we will always appreciate this!
Please do not send toys or electronics to school with your child. Our learning environment will provide many stimulating tools for your child to interact with. We will not be responsible for lost or damaged items. If your child has something of extra special interest to bring in and share (for example a birds nest they found on a nature walk, a special project they have created and built at home) please let us know by email that they would like to bring this in and we will welcome the learning opportunity that this special object will provide!

If after school plans change (different person picking up, change to bus etc) please be sure you email both educators asap to let us know of this change as we want to ensure safety of your child. Dismissal is at 3:40 in the kindie pen.
We welcome donations of kleenex, ziplock bags, recyclables for building projects, craft supplies, interesting loose parts, etc. anytime! Your contributions are much appreciated and valued by all. Thanks!
