Music is a way that we connect with others. 

Some learning objectives for our year are:

• Listening to, moving to, singing and playing music from different communities, times and places

• Playing and composing music in 3/4 metre (waltz), using more complex rhythm patterns

• Singing in tune and composing songs using do, re, mi, so, la (pentatonic scale)

• music appreciation via learning about Canadian musicians coast to coast

Home support can look or sound like:

• Share music from family’s cultural traditions

• Dance to music with a strong beat

• Play children’s and folk songs and singing games
