Your child will need a pair of indoor shoes that they can keep at school in their cubby. Please label these shoes with your child's name. Choose shoes that your child can confidently put on and take off on their own (e.g., Velcro shoes or slip-on shoes).

Your child will need a different pair of shoes that they can wear when they are outside. Please label these shoes with your child's name as well. Choose shoes that your child can confidently put on and take off on their own. When sending your child to school in their outdoor shoes, please think about the weather (e.g., rain boots on a rainy day, winter boots when it is cold outside) as well as the function of the shoe (e.g., running shoes are much safer for outdoor play than slip on shoes or flip flops).

It is important that you are sending your child to school in clothes that they can put on and take off on their own throughout the day. Accidents happen, clothes get wet, and outfits need to be changed. Clothing that has buttons, snaps, ties etc. can cause challenges! Pullover shirts and sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweatpants, and leggings are all much easier.
Examples of what to wear...
T-Shirts
Track pants
Slip-on pants
Buttons
Snaps
Buttons and snaps can be very challenging for students who are still building their fine motor control. Please make sure that your child can put on and take off an item of clothing before sending them to school in it.
