Having an appropriately sized backpack for your child is very important. We are looking for a bag that is not too big, not too small, but just right! This means that your child should be able to fit their lunch bag and belongings into their backpack.

At TJS we have two Nutritional Breaks during the school day. Please ensure you are sending your child with enough healthy food for two eating breaks.

containers your child can easily open
cutlery/utensils
plastic containers with multiple lids
food that needs to be heated (ensure it comes to school in a hot thermos)

If your child is interested in packaged snacks please read the label carefully. "May contain/contain hidden traces of nuts" is a snack that should be avoided to pack in a lunch bag.
Please send in a large ziploc bag labelled with your child's name. In that bag please include the following;
Underwear
Socks
Pants
T-Shirts
Accidents happen and clothes can need to be changed for a variety of reasons! By having these items readily available in your child's cubby they can change quickly and easily without having to call home and have these items dropped off. Please be sure to return items the following day after they are sent home so your child's cubby always has these extra items available to them.
