We have approximately 260 students from JK- Grade 6. We are a walk-to school so you won't see school buses, but you will see crossing guards. We have a wonderful, kind and friendly community. Our school council is filled with parents who are very involved and work hard to contribute to the spirit at Pauline Johnson. We invite families every year to participate and join. In 2018 we celebrated our 50th Anniversary!
Our school is named after Emily Pauline Johnson. Johnson was a Canadian writer and performer popular in the late 19th century. Johnson was notable for her poems and performances that celebrated her Indigenous heritage.
Within our small school community, we regularly connect across grades and classrooms for many special activities and events to build inclusion, leadership for older students, and mentors for our younger learners. We look forward to continuing this tradition once it is safe to do so.
