Transportation

• Escarpment View is a walking school. This means that all students who attend our school live within walking distance and are encouraged to walk or wheel to school. We do not offer busing, and our parking lots are closed during arrival and dismissal times.

School Hours

• Arrival: 8:30-8:45

• School Day Begins: 8:45

• First Nutrition Break: 10:25-11:05

• Second Nutrition Break: 12:45-1:25

• School Day Ends: 3:05

The Learning Environment

• In Full Day Kindergarten there are two important learning environments: the indoor classroom and the outdoor classroom. Both learning environments are used and explored every day in all seasons.

• Our kindergarten classrooms at Escarpment View are intentionally designed spaces to promote learning in a safe and comfortable environment. Each classroom has a washroom,  cubbies for student belongings, a carpet area for whole-group learning, and many exploration stations encompassing sensory, drama, art, building, problem-solving, innovating and more.
