About ECO Rangers

The program is activity-based learning with a decided wetland focus.  The facilitation of the program is undertaken by High School students who have been extensively trained to be inspirational facilitators for their elementary participants.  These dynamic students will be your class’s Environmental Mentors for the day and ensure very personal instruction by having approximately one facilitator for every three-four students.

The program starts with a morning filled with wetland themed leadership and team development initiatives where students will learn about many of the issues that wetlands face today.    In the afternoon portion of the program, your group will be engaged in implementing an environmental action project and/or other hands-on activities that highlight the importance of wetland ecosystems.

Students will finish the program feeling more confident and engaged in their learning as well as having a sense of accomplishment by contributing to Wetland conservation and/or education.  This program is appropriate for Science, Geography and Physical Education classes as well as any student groups (environmental clubs, student council, sports teams).
