Welcome to H-D Elementary School Counseling Department

Hello!

My name is Cate Meader and I am the elementary school counselor for both North and South Side Elementary. I am a Hampton native and graduated from H-D In 2016. I earned my B.S. in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University in 2020 and my M.S. in School Counseling from Drake University in 2023.

I consider it both a privilege and joy to support students, families, and the H-D community. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Hampton-Dumont School Counseling Program to provide for the social, academic, and career needs of all students in a safe and caring envrionment so they become contributing citizens and life-long learners.

Vision Statement

Working in partnership with each family and the community, the Hampton-Dumont Elementary School Counseling program will provide a data and student driven program focusing on the development of the whole student.
