Description: This 6-week Summer Sustainability Project is open to all High School students of HCST, as well as newly accepted High School students. The definition of “sustainability” is the study of how natural systems function, remain diverse and produce everything it needs for the ecology to remain in balance. It also acknowledges that human civilization uses resources to sustain our modern way of life. This project will include a lot of hands-on work outside in the garden, in the lab classrooms, and in our greenhouse. Students will work with instructors of various backgrounds that include environmental science, architecture, chemistry and metalworking.
