New Jersey Administrative Code 6A:14-1.2(h) states that: Each board of education shall ensure that a special education parent advisory group is in place in the district to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities.
The Hudson County Schools of Technology Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) works for the understanding of, respect for and support of all children in our school community.
The SEPAC will work to:
Promote a network of parents with special needs in our district and provide a forum to share information.
Provide a series of informational meetings on topics of interest for families of students who receive special education and/or educational support services.
To increase the involvement of families of children with special needs in making recommendations on special education policy.
