Cambium Assessment has made a number of changes to the column headers on the CSV file that schools download from the Central Reporting System (CRS). These changes include:
Column K - Ethnicity field only includes codes 1-6 (previously had descriptions and number codes)
Column E,F,G,J,R,BE,BF,BG,BH,BI,BJ,BK,BL,BM,BN,BO,BP, BR,BS - Name Changes
Several columns have been renamed as filler columns for fields that are no longer used.
The changes to the results file headers for the 2021-2022 school year will not allow the chart-level calculated fields to recognize the new fields Spring 2021 OST Results GDS Template. Users can still use last years template if they COPY the entire top row (column headers/field names) from the "Spring 2021 Headers" tab on the sheet embedded below and PASTE it over the top row (column headers) on the 2021-2022 Fall or Spring OST results CSV files downloaded from the new Cambian Assessment Central Reporting System (CRS).
The NEW Spring 2022 OST Results GDS Template comes with several improvements, including changing subscore labels for the Overall Scores page and Math OST page, but to make this template work, we need to insert a row at the top of the spreadsheet and replace (copy and paste) the header row and second (mostly blank row - except for column BQ) with the rows found on the "Hybrid 2 Rows for Changing Subscores" tab on the sheet embedded below.
We have found the template works best when connected to a Google Sheet version of the downloaded CSV Score Report. Drop and drag the CSV file into your Google Drive, and then open it as a Google Sheet. After making the column header adjustments to the top 2 rows (described above), connect the resulting Google Sheet to the GDS OST Template. For more detailed instructions, please see the Google Sheets Section of the OST Results GDS Template Step-by-Step Instructions Document.
Helpful Hint: If you are able to do another Student Pre-ID file upload to TIDE, it will help fill in any missing demographics data and make your OST Results Report more complete. You can also blend in gifted data on the Pre-ID file since DASL does not pull this into their Pre-ID report.

If you get the error shown below ("Sorry, we couldn't create your data set. Please refresh the page or try again in a little while."), you can wait and try again as the message suggests, or you can open your data as a Google Sheet and use the Google Sheet Connector. We explain how to connect your data in the OST Results GDS Template Step-by-Step Instructions. Click the Blue OST Results GDS Template Step-by-Step Instructions Button and scroll down until you see the instructions for connecting to a Google Sheet.
The OELPA and OST Google Data Studio Templates are populated demonstration data.
