HCSD Gifted Identification and Enrichment Programs

Add Headings and they will appear in your table of contents.

Welcome to the Gifted Identification and Enrichment Programs page for Hamilton City Schools.  At Hamilton City Schools, we believe that together, we positively impact student learning and life.  We do this by providing a rigorous curriculum and through the implementation of high impact instructional strategies and programs that are designed to meet the academic as well as the social/emotional needs of all our students to maximize growth and prepare them for life beyond high school.

The Ohio Department of Education defines a gifted student as one who “performs or shows potential for performing at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment."  Ohio law requires that school districts test/evaluate and identify students for giftedness in the areas of superior cognitive ability, creative thinking, reading, mathematics, science, social studies, and the visual and performing arts.

This website contains information you may need regarding identification, services, and supports specifically for identified gifted learners.  If you have any questions and need any further information, feel free to contact the district's gifted coordinator.
