TK students visit once a week.
K-5th grade students visit the library twice a week, once for a skills lesson and once for book borrowing.

2nd grade may borrow up to 2 books each week.
3rd grade may borrow up to 3 books each week.
4th grade may borrow up to 4 books each week.
5th grade may borrow up to 5 books each week.
In the case of a class project requiring a book for research, an extra book can be borrowed.
When do books need to be returned?
TK-1st grade
One week from the date of checkout
If a student wishes to extend their borrowing period, they can bring the book to the library for renewal.
When Is a book considered overdue?
If the book is not returned (or renewed) the week after it is checked out, it is considered overdue.
In order for the librarian to maintain South School’s collection of books and to enable all children to have access to these materials, students must account for all overdue books each trimester.
Books that are lost or not returned at the end of each trimester must be paid for or parents can replace the book with an identical version.
It is important to have all books returned at the end of the year.
