Student Council is the heart and soul of the Crocker Climate. These students are elected by the student body each spring and serve their position the following school year. These students are required to work a few days before school starts and the rest of the student body is on campus. They serve as members of the leadership class, run the student government meetings, and do all the heavy planning for school wide events throughout the year.

What is the application process like?
What is the application process like?
To apply for student council you have to fill out the online form. Then you will be asked to write a cover letter, submit a resume, and attach a copy of your grades from the last trimester.
Do I have to give a speech?
Do I have to give a speech?
Yes! You will be giving a speech to the entire student body in the gym. In 2020 we had video speeches, as we were all remote.

The 6th and 7th graders vote the student council members into office. This will be an online format via a google form. If 8th graders want to vote they can. However it will be in person and via a paper format.

There is a big time commitment to be a part of council. We meet before school starts (in the summer!) to get ready for the upcoming school year. We then have weekly meetings, and depending on the month or events going on at school we could meet more than once a week. Along with meetings there is outside work that you will be doing at home to prepare for events and assemblies?
