Classroom Rep

Classroom Representatives are a vital part of the student government here at Crocker.  They are the student liaisons between the student government members and the student body as a whole.  They attend meetings and report back to class and/or get feedback from their classmates to take back to student government members.

How do I become a classroom rep?

Reps are chosen in their Flex classes.  Each teacher will ask for volunteers or interested students and the class will vote 1 person to represent their class at the student government meetings.  The runner-up will be the alternate if the chosen rep can not attend a meeting.

What is the time commitment for being a classroom rep?

Student Government meetings are once a month and all reps are required to attend those meetings.

What are my responsibilities as classroom rep?

You are to attend all student government meetings and take notes.  During the Flex class following the student government meeting you will report back to your class with any updates or news you may have for them.  Sometimes you may be tasked with asking their options on upcoming or past events, so you should feel comfortable facilitating a discussion around that.
