Mrs. Locklear completed her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, 1997. She earned her certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor through the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board in 2000. She practiced 17 years as a Licensed School Social Worker for Hoke County Schools. Throughout her years of service, she maintained as a clinical substance Abuse Practitioner contracting with local providers. She completed a Masters of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in the fall of 2017. She is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She brings knowledge and skills in prevention, intervention, and treatment for substance abuse and mental health services.
Mrs. Alford, MSW, LCSW has been practicing social work for over 25 years. She completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 1995 and her Master of Social Work degree at East Carolina University in 2000. In 2004, Ms. Alford became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been employed with Hoke County Schools since 2005 as a Licensed School Social Worker. Over the years, she has shown herself to be an advocate and a change agent that has assisted students and families with addressing mental health and behavioral concerns through case management, individual and group counseling. She has also provided consultation to teachers, parents, and administrators. Ms. Alford brings a wealth of social work knowledge from working in the areas of public health, public mental health, and public education to her current position as District Mental Health Coordinator in Hoke County Schools.
