The Mental Health Program aims to build a comprehensive Mental Health Service System for the Hoke County School District. The integrated framework is a multilevel of support. This includes developing a Mental Health Plan, designing and implementing policies and practices that promote a continuum of support services for students that are integrated throughout the school and community; providing training and technical assistance to school specialized support staff; and, collaborating with community mental health providers. The expected outcomes of the Mental Health service system include:
1) improved access to care for students and their family, 2) enhanced preventative services, 3) increased early problem identification, 4) less stigmatizing, 5) and increasing the generalization of social and emotional intervention across the academic setting.
