Wolves are apex preditors in whatever habitat they occupy. Wolves are carnivores also known as Canis Lupis which is the most commonly recognized variety of wolves in the world. Grey wolves usually hunt large, hoofed animals such as deer, elk, bison and other little animals like rabbit, squirrels and fox. Wolves also typically eat the remains of bigger animals like moose. In a wolf pack, the adult wolves eat first. After they eat, then only do the wolf pups eat.
