Garry's mod is a sandbox game that has very realistic physics. There is an expansive mod library on Steam that adds anything from npcs, guns, and skins to maps and new mechanics. There are many tools you can use to manipulate things, such as welds, ropes, hydraulics, and color changers. It is quite a unique game, with Minecraft being the closest game to it.

Wanna be lonely? Go into singleplayer. Wanna meet others? Play on a multiplayer server!
Weird ragdolls
Lots of settings to mess with (minecraftify, hints on/off, npcs ignore players, etc.)
Crazy and hilarious glitches can occur
Make your own vehicles or buildings
Edit the bones of NPCs
Good graphics

Cons

Easy to crash your game or even computer!
Way too many reuploads of mods on Steam, or bad mods that don't work
Hard to build sometimes when you have lag

Overall Rating: 9/10

Gmod is a great game to test out ideas with gravity, explode things, and be an innocent bystander (Totally not murdering).
