Yearbook is an ever evolving program and it changes based on the vision of the leaders and the stories that make each year unique. This year brought major changes and it was not always easy for the staff to understand the changes. Mr. Rice held the vision and said, “It was time for significant updates in our approach and the quality of our product. A big change was the move away from a basic design software to a sophisticated, real life application of Adobe products.
Best Buddies is an international club that creates an inclusive environment for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build relationships with their peers. This club has been active and impacting students for the past twelve years. The club brings in more students each year to expand its nurturing community.
Lulna Ghirmai (12) and Sarah Byrum (12) share a love for contemporary dance, but for different reasons. Ghirmai says, “My favorite style of dance is contemporary because it’s really fun to do, but I also love musical theatre because it tells a story.” Byrum said, “I can find different pathways of movement in contemporary that I can’t in other styles.”

The first blast of the whistle sends a wave of adrenaline through the air. Under the glow of the stadium lights, the Marching Band stands poised, instruments gleaming, flags rippling in the cool evening breeze. The crowd roars, but for the students on the field, it all melts away into a singular focus—the rhythm, the movement, the music.
Anna Melo de Abreu (12) was born in Brazil. Growing up, Anna loved dance styles like funk, samba, and lambada that express identity, community, and history of Brazilian culture. Festivals and family gatherings were times of joy, making her feel connected to her community.
