Our In-Person Competition will take place on April 20th (2024). All events will be held on the following schedule. The competition will be held from 9am to 12:50 with awards starting at 1pm.
The tentative times for the day can be found here.
We are splitting our teams into two leagues (we will balance each league as teams sign up) and will award top five for each league per event and will award top five teams per league (if 10 teams in each)
Events will be grouped as they are listed here on this page. So a team member would need to choose between doing Metric Mastery and Picture This as they both happen at the same time.
The goal of the activity is to ensure team members are able to explore different areas of science but team awards usually require teams to ensure all events for placement are covered.
When teams skip a team placement event it will pull their team score down drastically. A "no score" is entered for any event not completed. For team ranking purposes, that means a rank of one more than the number of teams present will be given. If 20 teams than a rank of 21 will be given.
The lowest overall score is the goal for each team.
