There are lots of illustrators but not many of them are famous. Everyone enjoys books but most people who read books do not pay attention to the photos on the front cover and pages throughout the book. Most books have pages on the front but only picture books have photos throughout the book. While the author gets lots of recognition illustrators get less of that popularity. Illustrators work very hard as well. Some of the most famous artists are Quentin Blake, Malika Favre, and finally Maurice Sendak. All of these amazing illustrators put a great effect on the books they helped illustrate. So many kids enjoy the pictures made by these amazing people.
Quentin Blake is an incredible cartoonist and illustrator. He has illustrated over 300 books and 18 of them were by Roald Dahl. He taught at the royal college of art. Quentin Blake was born in 1932. Although he is old he is still a really good artist. Quentin Blake and Roald Dahl are life long friends and their collaborations are very famous. The two of them were both author's although Quentin Blake chose to follow more of an illustrators path. Roald Dahl and Quentin are very famous people. They are amazing at creating books and other types of writings. Quentin Blake although old is still alive and standing strong although Roald Dahl Is no longer with us. Quinten Blake had a great effect on the illustrating world.

Maurice Sendak is an illustrator who was born in 1928, June 10. He had a few childhood illnesses. He had Measles, scarlet fever, and Pneumonia. It is a relief that he did not die as a child. Maurice started that as a child his parents always said "he was going to die." He was a very famous artist that created Where the Wild Things Are.
