LATE GRADE POLICY:
1) -10 points deducted from original grade for each day assignment is late past due date.
2) After 4 days/class periods of an assignment being late the highest possible score a student can earn is 60%
3) A failing grade (59% or less) is given if 4 or more class periods late - home is contacted and a possible detention assigned to make up the neglected assignment.
4) Assignments not turned in or made up if absent will remain at 0% until completed and turned in.
5) A score of 0% is earned if caught cheating on an assessment, or major assignment that is supposed to be done independently.
5) If student chooses to take the opportunity to make-up the work and do an outstanding job on it then they can partially recoup their grade and earn up to 80%
*NOTE: School policy (and my policy) - if a student is absent for any reason, it is their responsibility to make up missed work in a timely manner.
**Alternative extra-credit work may be offered to students near the end of each quarter if they want to replace a missing assignment, or would like to improve any non-assessment grades before quarterly report cards go out.
