Parents who speak Spanish at home can and should read with their children at home in their home language.

Read good stories aloud to your children in Spanish.
- Ask questions about what happens in the story.
- Talk about words they don’t understand.
- You can, read them over and over!
- If you need stories, ask for them at school!

Ask your children to read to you in Spanish!
- Help them with words that are too long.
- Help them use the pictures.
- If they can read in English they can read in Spanish too!

MyOn not only offers a personalized selection of books tailored to the student’s reading level and interests, but keeps track of students’ reading levels and progress over time. It is a fantastic resource and one we are happy to have for our Wildcats!

We are so excited that our Dana Wildcats have access to the resources at any of the Henderson County Public Library branches. Students will use their Student ID to be able to check out resources. They may also access databases such as NC Kids and Tumble books to acces even more resources
