Media Coordinator

Hello, My name is Mrs. Ramsey. I am the Media Coordinator and Technology Integrator at Dana Elementary. Welcome to our Dana Elementary Research Center!

I am a graduate of Mars Hill University (Formerly known as Mars Hill College). I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Language Arts, as well as a Minor in English. I have also had the honor of being the 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year at Dana Elementary School.

I encourage my students to never stop learning and I am following my own advice as I am currently seeking a Masters in Library Sciences through the East Carolina University.

I reside in Henderson County with my husband, my two sons, and my daughter. This is my twentieth year at Dana Elementary School. I have had the pleasure of teaching first grade through fifth grade at Dana. I also have two additional years of classroom experience in Henderson County Public Schools in both third grade and Kindergarten. Prior to my career in Henderson County, I have lived in Madison, Buncombe, and New Hanover Counties.

I have many roles at Dana Elementary. I have opportunities to lead as the Media Coordinator, Technology Integrator, and Facilitator of the Dana Lighthouse Team. I am also the sponsor for the Technology Team, Library Leaders/Media Mavens and the Dana Meteorology/Weather Team. I look forward to the possibilities of discovering together in the Dana Research Center and reaching new levels of learning through technology.
