"Before Greatness can be achieved, it must be demonstrated"
Our Culture
With any successful company or sports team, you quickly discover a specific culture that pervades. A culture is defined as the set of shared attitudes, values, goals and practices that characterize an organization. As the Head Coach, I want everyone on our team to know and understand what our culture is. Our culture makes us who we are- it is the foundation of what we do and how we do it- We will refer to it as:
#Uncommon
VISION
The vision of the Hanover basketball program is to create high character servant leaders who will positively impact our school & community. Each player will carry themselves with class and pride, on and off the court, always remembering that Hanover Basketball is bigger than any one person.
MISSION
The mission of the Hanover basketball program is to be uncommon men in our daily pursuit of excellence.
Be uncommon = Do hard things, challenge yourself, leaving your comfort zone, be comfortable being uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable leads to exponential growth!
FOUNDATION
We believe that every successful program starts with a solid foundation. Our foundation will be built off of 5 equally important pillars. Each pillar will support the overall development of each player and coach in our program.
Community Involvement
We believe that being a part of the program is just a piece of the puzzle when it comes to developing our players. We want our players to be good at basketball, and to do well in school, but it is also important to us that they become recognized for their impact on the community. Looking at our players holistically, we believe this is the biggest area where we can improve. Our program mission is to be more involved with the community. Here are some of the following ways we will be involved.
Youth Camps
Our Camps are one of the most important fundraiser/community events we conduct. Our camps will help our program build relationships and connect with our community while also giving our players and coaches servant leadership opportunities.
Elementary School Outreach
Meet & Greet with Elementary School Students during the first week of school and after Christmas break
Once approved we will begin a reading and math program with Kersey Creek Elementary school
Covid Protocols have delayed this program start date
Lace Up for a Cure
We will wear Gold Shoelaces during a game to bring awareness to cancer. Details TBD
Jacob’s Chance Organization
