Troubleshooting AP Classroom
If you are having trouble accessing your AP Classroom account, there are a few steps you can go through to attempt to access it on your own. Please follow these steps before asking for help from Mr. Dickenson.
Step #1: Go to myap.collegeboard.org/login
Step #2: If you have never made a CollegeBoard account, click “Create Account” at the bottom of the page and follow those instructions
If you get an error message that says this email is already associated with an account, then go on to step #3
Step #3: Enter the email address for your account (even if it is from the PSATs)
If you are not sure of the email address of your account, use the one that you most likely would have used (if you still have access to it)
Step #4: If you are not sure of your email address or have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot Password”. Enter in your email address to try to get your password reset. Do this again for any and all email addresses you might have used. This may include your hcps email, a personal email, and your parents' email addresses.
Request a password change first via SMS text message, and then also by email.
If you do not get a text message or an email for any of those email addresses, you will need to call CollegeBoard at 866-315-6068. Mr. Dickenson CANNOT do this for you, it must be completed by you as the student (however, I am willing to be there when you call for moral support).
If you have tried all of these steps AND have contacted CollegeBoard on your own, then you can request an appointment with Mr. Dickenson to get extra help with logging in by sending a Schoology message.
Call College Board Support Services for Account login and Passwords
They will most likely ask for your security phrase. This is usually one word that you chose when you signed up. If you don't know it, simply say "I'm sorry I don't remember my security phrase"
