HCISD Libraries have a responsibility to meet the information needs of everyone in their communities. To do so, they must promote and protect users’ intellectual freedom and ensure that the delivery of library services to the school community is fair, equitable, and non-discriminatory. This can be achieved only if the library has developed and adopted formal, written library procedures. Written procedures are essential because they provide a framework for the operations of the library.
We have provided library procedures to help guide every librarian with the knowledge and tools needed from the beginning to the end of each school year. You will find the procedures needed to have successful & organized processes to distribute library materials to students & staff. Remember that you are always welcome to reach out to any member of the Library Service team for questions.
