Grant Writer

The Grant Writer is available to assist teachers and staff with their grant efforts. The Grant Writer provides district-wide support, including identifying funding opportunities, hands-on writing assistance, communicating with funders, and submitting applications. All grant submissions are made in accordance with HCISD guidelines and funders’ requests for proposals. Upon receiving an award notification, the Grant Writer will help monitor the implementation of the project/program and assist in post-award activities.

 

The Grant Writer can assist in the following ways:

  • Research and identify federal, state, private, and corporate funding opportunities

  • Review grant application guidelines and confirm eligibility

  • Writing and technical assistance

  •  Obtain data, signatures, and HCISD documentation needed for a submission.

  • Assist in the development of Letters of Support

  • Develop, package, and submit grant proposals

  • Monitor progress of awarded project and provide support to project managers

  • Maintain communications with funders

  • Review, complete, and submit post award requirements, such as Grant Agreements

  • Prepare and submit grant reports
