HCI’s OE & OVIA programme is designed in line with the philosophy of John Dewey (proponent of Experiential Education), to include the following disciplines:
Adventure Education e.g. rock climbing, kayaking, cycling and trekking.
Environmental Education and Interpretation
Place Based Education
Service Learning.
OE & OVIA programmes are designed to be blended incorporating 2 or more disciplines, providing rich and holistic learning experiences for the participants, as a platform to enhance the 4 competencies namely adaptive thinking, inventive thinking, communication skills and civic literacy.

A platform for students:
To demonstrate leadership skills in real-world settings.
To show resilience and adaptability in challenging situation.
To display commitment to community and environmental causes.
