Launched in 1992, the NYAA is one of Singapore’s premier youth development programmes for youth between 13 and 30 years of age (amended 2018). The programme seeks to develop and maximise the potential of young people through selfless community service, challenges of adventure, skills development and physical recreation so that they may be exceptional individuals who can contribute effectively to society and the nation.
Participants aged 16 or above may enter the Gold Award programme, which requires a minimum of 18 months of participation. The Silver Award programme requires 12 months of commitment.
