Dual Credit

Dual Enrollment is a program that allows high school students to enroll in college courses for credit prior to high school graduation. Dual enrollment offers an opportunity to obtain a 'jump-start" on a college career. Dual credit at Tyner is offered through Chattanooga State Community College.

Tyner currently offers the following dual credit courses:

Composition I (ENGL 1010)

Composition II (ENGL 1020)

College Algebra (MATH 1130)

Introduction to Statistics (MATH 1530)

Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 1030)

Introduction to Sociology (SOCI 1010)

Student must meet eligibility requirements to take dual credit courses through Chatt State. If students do not meet the required ACT or SAT score, then they can take the given the option to take the college's entrance exam, Accuplacer, at the Chattanooga State Testing Center. Required ACT scores are listed HERE.
