Tara Glenn was born in a quiet neighborhood in east ridge Tennessee. She was too shy to do choir and that's why she pushed me and my sister to do Musical theater. Her passions for musical theater never ceased though and she still routinely catches up with Broadway actors and shows. Every morning when we get in the car she's listening to Sirius Xm on Broadway and hums along with the showtunes recounting old memories. Her mom raised her on many Broadway shows and that's where her passion for it came from. Music has always been a big part of her life. She grew up listening to Elvis albums in the car and when she got older she was into tons of boy bands like Duran Duran, 98 Degrees and her favorite New Kids on The Block! She was obsessed with them and everytime they came in the car she cranks the volume up and sings along. You can't forget Bon Jovi who's her favorite singer ever! She first heard his song “run away” on the radio and fell in love after that. Since then she's been to see Bon Jovi live 4 times and everyday she plays the Bon Jovi channel on the radio and sings along with all of the songs. Mom even knows deep cuts from his older albums and I'm pretty sure she can sing any song of his and know all the words. Mom has always been a very hard working and self sufficient person. When she was a little kid she would stay home by herself all day during the summer and when she got older she would babysit for people. She worked her way through high school and then went straight to college where she majored in biology she transferred to MTSU and shortly thereafter she got a job at UNUM where she worked for 15 years. She's always been driven and holds down the fort at our home with tons of responsibilities and she manages to do it 24/7 and she's the best. Tara Houts is one of the best people on this earth and if you know her you'll know she's very funny, kind, determined and sarcastic sometimes but that's because she cares. She pushes the people in her life to be better and go beyond their potential and she's the best mom and coolest person I know.
