The Personal Project process is an incredibly rewarding one and cannot be completed without support from home. We hope that you will encourage your child to:
The Personal Project process is an incredibly rewarding one and cannot be completed without support from home. We hope that you will encourage your child to:
- Identify a concrete goal
- Choose something they are interested in
- Start immediately
- Use long breaks from school to work
- Complete the report throughout the process, rather than at the end
- Review the assessment criteria with you
- Keep up with their process journal entries
- Regularly review the recommended timeline
Students will be receiving lessons in their Directed Studies classes this year. However, all information will be available on this website and on ManageBac so that ALL sophomores, no matter if students need to be quarantined, will be able to access the information needed to complete a project. All supervisor meetings can be completed in person observing safety protocols or virtually through email, Zoom, phone calls, or other virtual platforms. You will all upload your work on ManageBac. If you have questions or concerns about completing your project remotely, contact Mrs. Bouldin (bouldin_m@hcde.org).
