Lindsey Hagan is the principal of Red Bank Elementary; a builder of bold ideas and a leader committed to reimagining what’s possible in public education through a culture of innovation. A first-generation college graduate, Lindsey’s passion for equity and learning was shaped by teaching in Africa and sharpened at a Leader in Me school in Colorado. Now in her fifth year as principal and tenth year in school leadership, she leads our Title I Community School dedicated to ensuring all students learn at high levels through high-quality instruction and a positive culture grounded in leadership, innovation, ownership, and never-give-up grit.
Lindsey spearheaded the launch of one of the district’s first elementary eLabs and now hosts leaders and educators from across the nation to share the systems, structures, and innovative practices transforming student outcomes and cultivating agency in the youngest learners. The eLab’s impact has rippled throughout Red Bank’s culture, positioning the school as a leader in digital fabrication at the elementary level within the largest eLab network in the world.
Under Hagan’s leadership, Red Bank Elementary has been recognized as a national exemplar community school, a lighthouse forest school contributing to Chattanooga’s vision as the first National Park City in the U.S., and a STEM-designated school supported by partners and programs including Volkswagen, the Lemelson-MIT Program, Whole Foods, and more.
