IV - UAV (Drones) in Ag

This class introduces students to the world of drone technology. In the class, students learn the basic training on how to fly drones, safety regulations, flight planning, maintenance, etc. This class helps students gain hands-on information and knowledge to be able to take the drone pilot test at the end of the course. Some hands-on experiences include flying, planning, mapping, and maintaining.

In the midst of learning how to operate drones, students can use this knowledge and apply it to real world agriculture. Applying knowledge of maps and agricultural aspects allows students to use these tools to their advantage. This course allows students to prepare for a future career in the UAV field and even includes aspects of FFA.
