Mr. Rob Ingram is serving as the Director of Bands at Perry High School. In his role, Mr. Ingram oversees all aspects of the Panther Regiment Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Color Guard. Mr. Ingram is an Alumni of Perry High School, class of 2012. He is excited to carry on the tradition of excellence of the Perry Band program. In addition to his teaching responsibilities at Perry High, Mr. Ingram teaches a private saxophone studio throughout the Middle Georgia area where his students are consistently chosen for District Honor Band, Region Band, and multiple All-State selections.
Prior to Perry High, Mr. Ingram served as the Assistant Director of Bands at Houston County High School. At Houston County, Mr. Ingram conducted the Symphonic Winds, Concert Band II, assisted with the Black and Silver Brigade, and was actively involved in all other facets of the school’s band program.Before his time in Houston County, he served as the Director of Bands at Mount de Sales Academy in Macon, Ga. While at Mount de Sales he was responsible for all beginning band classes, concert band, and marching band.
Mr. Ingram earned his bachelor's degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Instrumental Music from Georgia Southern University in 2016. While at Georgia Southern Ingram, was the Drum Major of the Southern Pride Marching Band, Principal Saxophone in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Lead-Alto in the Jazz Ensemble, and was awarded the Robert E. Gerkin Woodwind Scholarship. Mr. Ingram currently plays saxophone in Wellston Winds. Mr. Ingram’s professional affiliations include the Georgia Music Educators Association, National Band Association, and the National Association for Music Education.
Mr. Ingram and his wife, Cassie, are natives of Perry, Ga. Cassie is an math teacher at Houston County High school. The Ingram’s have two beautiful daughters Emily and Lucy daughter into the world in February of 2022. Together they have two rescue dogs Maggie and Eleven.
Ashley Godbee is a graduate of Perry High School class of 2011. She received her undergraduate degree from Mercer University and graduate degree from Georgia College and State University. Her career started in Houston County as the Assistant Band Director at Perry High School. In 2016, she became the Director of Bands at Gray Station Middle School in Jones County. Her most recent position was Associate Director of Bands at Bonaire Middle School. Mrs. Godbee is beginning her eighth year as a band director and is very excited to return to her alma mater.
Mrs. Godbee has been a staff member at the Athena Music and Leadership camp and has also performed at the Georgia Music Educators Association state conference and at the International Midwest Clinic. Mrs. Godbee enjoys playing trumpet and has performed with artists such as The Temptations and Otis Redding III. Her professional affiliations include GMEA, PAGE, & NAFME.
Mrs. Grant currently serves as the Assistant Director and assists with all facets of the band program including Marching Band, Concert Bands, and Jazz Band. She currently teaches Elementary Music at Langston Road Elementary.
Percussion Director
Theodore Drakopoulos currently serves on the Perry High School Panther Regiment band staff as percussion director. In addition to this position, Mr. Drakopoulos also serves as an adjunct professor of music at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga as well as working part time for the Douglas County Marching Tiger band in Douglasville, Ga. Mr. Drakopoulos also teaches private lessons in percussion, piano, bass guitar, as well as offering tutoring sessions for music theory at all levels. He is also a freelance musician, performing regularly with Valdosta Symphony Orchestra and Albany Symphony Orchestra, his own jazz quartet and is in the process of creating new projects for recording and eventual publication. Mr. Drakopoulos has performed and placed in the collegiate percussion ensemble competition at PASIC 2021 as a first-year graduate student. He has performed with Chris Brubeck and Triple Play, Carmen Bradford, the Melodica Men, Boston Brass, Britton-Rene Collins, Nester Torres, Brandon McCrae, among others. His primary teachers include Dr. Ryan Smith and Mr. David Springfield at Valdosta State University. Mr. Drakopoulos holds active membership in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, and the Percussive Arts Society. Mr. Drakopoulos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies (BA) from Valdosta State University with an emphasis in drum set and vibraphone performance and a Master’s degree in Music Performance (MMP) from Valdosta State University with an emphasis in percussion performance.
Percussion Tech
Mr. Bobby Calloway is entering his first year as the Percussion Director at Perry High School and Perry Middle School. Mr. Calloway is a proud alumni ('20) of PHS, Panther Regiment, and the Wind Ensemble. Bobby is also a member of the Middle Georgia State Percussion Ensemble, and student at Georgia Military College. Along with his duties at PHS, Mr. Calloway teaches percussion clinics through out Houston County and the middle Georgia area.
