FREE INTERNET ACCESS FOR ELIGIBLE FAMILIES:
FREE INTERNET ACCESS FOR ELIGIBLE FAMILIES:
The Harrisburg School District is working with Comcast and community partners to make it easier to connect low-income families in need to Internet access. If you are having difficulty securing Internet service to support your child or children’s’ remote learning from home, please use the links below to complete our District application in English or Spanish. In the meantime, please know that free Wi-Fi access is available outside of our school buildings - Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
TO RECEIVE FREE INTERNET SERVICE, YOU MAY QUALIFY IF YOU:
Have a child or children currently attending school in the Harrisburg School District
Have not had Comcast Internet service in the last 90 days
Qualify for programs like the Free School Lunch Program, housing assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, or others
Households that owe money to Comcast will qualify if approved by 12/31/2020.
Households that already have Comcast Internet service are not eligible for this program.
Harrisburg School District’s Comcast program offers free Internet service through August 2021.
WHAT IS THE STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS FOR FAMILIES?
Use the English or Spanish Application link above to submit your application. Our Administrative staff will reach out to the family, via phone or E-mail, to verify eligibility.
Once verified, a code will be provided to the family, which can be used to sign up for sponsored (free) service through the Comcast Internet Essentials program, valid through August 2021.
Once families have their code, they can register with Comcast to schedule their installation via https://internetessentials.com or by calling 1-855-846-8376.
During sign-up, they will be prompted for the provided code, which will allow them to schedule the service installation.

Anxiety can present itself in a variety of ways, because each child is unique. If you see changes in behavior that concern you, speak to your child about these concerns. We have on-site counseling that may be able to assist your child overcome or manage these emotions.

With the uncertainty of the current COVID-19 crisis, anxiety is likely to increase not only in adults, but with our children as well. Please be aware of some of the "red flags" that may appear as anxiety increases in individuals. Please reach out with any questions or concerns. If you or a loved one is experiencing thoughts of suicide or in a state of emergency, please call 911.
