SoundsFit is a music‑powered workout builder and player. Create precise routines, run them in a clean player with timers and animated cues, log each set, and (optionally) export your results to a Google Sheet for deeper analysis.
Membership tiers
Free: Core routine builder and player, logging, base visuals.
Pro (auto‑renewing): Quality‑of‑life upgrades and Google Sheets export (1 sync slot).
Elite (auto‑renewing) & Lifetime (one‑time): Everything in Pro plus custom exercise images, local audio import, richer animated backdrops, start‑in‑music‑player option, and up to 3 Google Sheets sync slots.
(The StoreKit sheet is the source of truth for pricing and intro offers in your region.)
Open the app → Hub.
Tap My Routines → + Add Exercise Block.
Pick an exercise (e.g., Squat).
Set at least one target (weight, reps, or duration).
Save the block, then save the routine.
From Hub or My Routines, choose a routine and press ▶ to start.
View artwork, current set target, and the progress bar.
Tap ? for a short mini‑guide about the current screen.
On Rest, tap LOG YOUR LAST SET to record weight/reps/time/notes/rating.
Tap ADJUST NEXT SET GOAL to apply suggested next targets based on your estimated 1RM/RPE and your last set.
After a session, open SESSION RESULT → SYNC to export to a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive.
The player can control your streaming service (Apple Music, Spotify). Connect from Settings → Music Services. A valid account with the service is required.
Import audio from the Files app into the SoundsFit player (supported common formats on your device). This lets you train with your own tracks with no app switching.
Tips if playback doesn’t start
Make sure media volume is up and Silent Mode is off.
For streaming, confirm the service app plays normally on its own.
If another app is holding audio, pause/close it and try again.
Metronome
Long‑press Play/Pause (~1 second) to toggle a 1 Hz click during sets or rest.
On the first export, you’ll be asked to sign in with your Google account and grant permission to create a sheet in your Google Drive.
After export, you’ll see a new spreadsheet with your session data.
Pro: 1 active sync slot. Elite/Lifetime: up to 3.
If export fails
Check your internet connection.
If you cancelled or denied Google permission, re‑try export and grant access.
Ensure you’re signed into a Google account that has Drive enabled.
Use Settings → Account → Restore Purchases (or the Restore Purchases button on the purchase screen).
Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID used to buy the items.
Intro offers/free trials may appear on ELITE plans depending on your region.
If you previously subscribed to a product in the same subscription group, you may not be eligible for another trial in that group (this rule is enforced by the App Store).
iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → SoundsFit. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current period.
Apple handles all payments and refunds for App Store purchases. Use reportaproblem.apple.com with your Apple ID.
Location (Approximate, optional)
Used to show current weather on the Hub. The app works if you deny permission.
Music/Media
Used to control playback and, for Elite/Lifetime, to import local audio files.
Data
Workout data is stored on your device. Exports go to your own Google Drive when you choose to sync—no SoundsFit server is required. Crash/performance diagnostics may be collected to improve stability. See the full policy at the link above.
I don’t see the Elite free trial
Trials vary by region and eligibility. If you previously subscribed to any plan in the same subscription group, the trial may not be available.
Restore Purchases didn’t unlock
Confirm the correct Apple ID on the device.
Ensure you’re online.
Try: kill and relaunch the app, then restore again.
No sound/metronome
Check device volume and Silent Mode.
Toggle the metronome by long‑pressing Play/Pause.
Google Sheets export doesn’t create a file
Accept the Google permission prompt.
Retry while signed into a Google account with Drive enabled.
Video backdrops feel choppy
Close other heavy apps.
Ensure Low Power Mode is off if possible.
On older devices, animated backdrops may reduce frame rate during long sessions.
Keep routine targets realistic; adjust with ADJUST NEXT SET GOAL after each set.
Use notes to record form cues or how a set felt; they show up in your exports.
For long circuits, group predictable rests to keep the timer guidance consistent.
