SoundsFit keeps your workout data on your device unless you choose to export it. We don’t sell data, use ad SDKs, or track you across apps/websites.
SoundsFit uses YouTube API Services to help you find and display instructional exercise videos inside the app. For information on how Google handles data, see the Google Privacy Policy.
By using SoundsFit you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
What YouTube‑related information we access/store
Video metadata you select or view: video ID, title, channel name, and thumbnail URL.
Optional: search terms that you type in the YouTube search screen (only used to perform your search).
Where it is stored
This information is stored locally on your device to remember your preferred tutorial for an exercise and to render the UI. We do not upload YouTube user‑level data to our servers.
How we use/process/share it
We use the data only to show a preview, let you manage your tutorial choice, and open the video on YouTube.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share user‑level YouTube data with third parties.
Cookies / local storage disclosure (YouTube Player)
When a YouTube player is embedded in the app, YouTube or its partners may store or access information on your device (for example, via cookies or similar technologies) to operate the player. You can control cookies and website data in your device settings and YouTube/Google account settings.
Your YouTube choices
You can open any tutorial on YouTube directly from the app.
You can change or clear a selected tutorial for an exercise inside the app.
Uninstalling the app removes locally stored YouTube metadata.
Exercises, sets, reps, weight, duration, rest, ratings, notes, and assist values are stored locally on your device.
Spreadsheet export: when you tap SYNC, data you select is sent to your Google Drive/Google Sheets via Google’s SDK. SoundsFit does not receive that export.
Weather: if you allow location, we use approximate location to display local weather.
Diagnostics: crash and performance info may be collected to improve stability.
Playback can use Apple Music or Spotify, or local files (Elite/Lifetime). Tokens are used only for playback. We do not receive your listening history.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not collect payment card data.
Export data to your own Google Sheet.
Delete session logs in the app or uninstall to remove local data.
Revoke Drive access in your Google Account; disconnect music services in each service and in the app’s Settings.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
