2024 will be the 16th year that Writer's Week has been held at Hazelwood West.  Former teachers brought it to the Midwest after attending a workshop on the West Coast.   After the program’s inception here at West, Truman State, Webster Groves HS and then Pattonville began similar programs. This building wide production is a collaborative effort that celebrates the power, breadth and strength of the written word. It unites the Hazelwood West community. It is a transformative tradition that students look forward to and alumni look back fondly on.
